It’s a big deal selling an instrument and I’m so sad to be letting a special and important part of my musical journey go, but it’s time to sell the fiddle I’ve played since 2003 it’s done me proud : travelled the world, appeared on countless albums, even played with Kylie and Mark Knopfler haha!

It’s been recently set up by David Rattray, who says :

“A good Scottish violin of the Smillie school. Bearing the maker’s label “Lambert Houniet/ Edinburgh 1976. The instrument is property of professional musician Patsy Reid. In fine and immediate playing condition.”

It’s a beautiful violin and I’d really love for it to go to a good home and be enjoyed! Happy to arrange for folk to try it – I’m based in Perth and often in the central belt, and periodically on Mull and the Plockton area.
