I am so delighted to be able to announce that we will be performing a fair few tracks from my album of Simon Thoumire’s fiddle music at the Edinburgh International Festival this coming August. It’s very exciting to be back performing at this legendary festival and to be showcasing this new, exciting fiddle music is very special. Most of the guest musicians on the album will be there too, including Alice Allen, Seonaid Aitken and Jack Smedley and there will also the world premiere of Simon’s new clarsach concerto, performed by Ciorstaidh Beaton.
